Capital Farm Credit hosts grand opening at its new headquarters
Capital Farm Credit celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters with an open house and ribbon cutting event on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 3902 South Traditions Drive in College Station.
Texas’ largest agricultural lender acquired the property located within Bryan-College Station’s Lake Walk development last fall. After minor renovations, the Association moved its corporate team of more than 100 employees to its new headquarters in September.
“Capital Farm Credit is a growing cooperative serving more farmers, ranchers, and rural communities than we ever have in our history,” said John Malazzo, board chairman. “Capital Farm Credit provides agriculture financing to 192 of Texas’ counties and employs more than 600 team members. This new facility is the heart of our organization and our membership.”
“We are grateful for this new location and the many opportunities it provides us to enhance our customer experience and overall effectiveness in serving agriculture and rural communities across Texas,” said Jeff Norte, chief executive officer.
The grand opening was attended by Capital Farm Credit Board of Directors, employees, members, business affiliates and other community leaders within the agriculture industry and surrounding areas. Special guests included federal, state and local elected officials and the Bryan- College Station Chamber of Commerce.
“We appreciate everyone who joined us in the celebration of this milestone in our association history,” said Norte. “At the end of the day, we are still in the business of serving people. Sustaining agriculture for the ultimate benefit of our customers remains our priority and will continue to be in the future.”
