Engineering the Reason for the Season

At Capital Farm Credit, family is one of our core values and how we make decisions throughout our association. When you borrow with Capital Farm Credit, you become a part of our cooperative, but more importantly, a part of the Capital Farm Credit Family.
Jimmy McCord has been a member of Capital Farm Credit’s Bryan office for 20 years and understands the value Capital Farm Credit puts into relationships. The end of the year brings the return of Allocated Equities to members and another reason to celebrate the many ways why together, we’re better.
“My relationship with Capital Farm Credit has been great,” said Jimmy McCord. “CFC representatives know the agriculture industry and are willing to assist their customers to be successful. They have experienced, knowledgeable and caring employees who want to help customers prosper in their operations.”
McCord currently operates a successful cow-calf operation in Milam County on owned and leased property of nearly 6,000 acres.
“We have raised commercial heifer pairs and taken them to major stock show’s sales at Fort Worth, San Antonio and Houston for more than 20 years,” said McCord.
When McCord is not running his cattle operation, he currently serves as the founder and CEO of McCord Engineering in College Station, Texas, where he has established a renowned career in engineering for 57 years.
At CFC, relationships matter. Our experienced lenders and staff work daily to support our customers throughout various agriculture operations and rural communities. As a cooperative, our Cooperative Returns program remains one of the strongest in the country.
“Returning allocated equities to our members is a real honor,” said Bryan Relationship Manager Brad Luedke. “I have been fortunate to serve as Jimmy McCord’s relationship manager for many years and having the opportunity to return allocated equities to him this season is very rewarding. We come to work to serve our agricultural producers and making visits like this reminds us why together, we’re better.”
